FUGLEN TOKYO

Fuglen began in Oslo and brought Nordic light-roast filter coffee to a mid-century-furnished shopfront near Yoyogi Park in 2012 — credited as one of the shops that helped kick off Tokyo's third-wave coffee scene.

By day it's a bright, vintage-chair café; after dark the same room turns into one of the neighborhood's better cocktail bars.

A good stop for people who want their coffee with a side of design.
